Risk payment— what it means in affiliate marketing
A transaction with an elevated chance of being reversed — high-risk vertical, mismatched geo, a card and billing country that disagree.
Processors price this risk as a higher fee and a longer rolling reserve. Enough reversals in a row and the merchant account closes rather than gets repriced.
