What reddit-insights does

This skill connects your agent to Reddit discussions through the reddit-insights-mcp server. Search runs on intent rather than exact keywords. Entries return post text alongside a relevance score from 0 to 1.

Three depth levels are available. The default standard mode clusters findings across several queries, quick delivers five records, and deep breaks down sentiment and competitor feedback. Tools can also list communities or inspect current trends.

You need an API token from https://reddit-insights.com passed in the REDDIT_INSIGHTS_API_KEY variable. English queries yield the cleanest matches. Abstract terminology or non-English text leads to poor relevance scores.

  • validate early product ideas against forum feedback
  • track emerging topics across relevant subreddits
