homepage-audit — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Runs conversion audits on homepages or landing pages, calculates section scores, and suggests revised headlines.
npx skills add BrianRWagner/ai-marketing-claude-code-skills --skill homepage-audit -a claude-codeWhat homepage-audit does
The skill reviews marketing pages across six areas: above-the-fold content, value proposition, proof, clarity, calls to action, and risk reversal. It adjusts scoring criteria depending on whether the business sells software, runs client services, or operates an online store. Three inspection levels are available: a fast five-second evaluation (quick), a section-by-section breakdown (standard), and an expanded review with split-test hypotheses (deep).
Results arrive with a weighted numerical score, rewritten headlines, and a matrix ranking each fix by effort and expected return. The skill stops immediately if you do not supply an active URL, a screenshot of the top section, or pasted hero copy.
What it helps with
- find conversion bottlenecks on a landing page hero section
- rewrite weak headlines to focus on customer outcomes
- prioritize page improvements using an impact versus effort matrix
- generate split-testing ideas for marketing copy
Example prompts for the agent
- Audit my landing page in standard mode using this above-the-fold screenshot.
- Run a quick scan on our service homepage copy and list the top three fixes.
- Perform a deep conversion review for my SaaS page with headline rewrites and test hypotheses.
