go-mode — Claude Code skill: planning and installation
go-mode turns a goal into an approved plan, carries out its steps, and reports the outcome. Use it when you want checkpoints before work begins or while it is underway.
npx skills add BrianRWagner/ai-marketing-claude-code-skills --skill go-mode -a claude-codeWhat go-mode does
Describe the outcome you want. The skill breaks the work into actionable steps, identifies tools, estimates effort and costs, and highlights risks. It presents the plan for your approval before acting; you can revise it, limit execution to selected steps, or cancel.
Choose quick, standard, or deep depending on how much planning and oversight the task needs. Once approved, go-mode works through the steps in sequence and gives progress updates. It pauses when an action needs your judgement or a guardrail is triggered, then reports what it did. External messages, spending, and irreversible changes require approval, so the skill should stop before taking those actions.
What it helps with
- turn a broad goal into ordered tasks
- approve a plan before execution starts
- pause before an action that needs human review
- get a report of completed work
Example prompts for the agent
