It reviews data streams to find duplicated web tracking, scans custom dimensions, and inspects key events. If default actions like page_view or scroll are marked as conversions, the audit flags inflated metrics.
To verify figures beyond Google's ecosystem, the audit compares GA4 purchase counts against Shopify orders or WooCommerce sales reports. It can also estimate the consent and ad-blocker gap using tools like Plausible or Fathom. Some settings cannot be fetched via API, such as the 2-month versus 14-month retention window; the skill asks you to confirm those directly in the GA4 admin panel.
Running the audit requires a paid Cogny Agent account ($9/month) and an active MCP endpoint at https://app.cogny.com/mcp configured in your .mcp.json.
