What eightctl does

This skill integrates the eightctl CLI tool into your AI agent workflow. The assistant runs status checks, toggles pod power, changes temperature targets, and inspects bed base angles or audio playback.

It relies on the external eightctl binary, which can be installed via Go from steipete/eightctl. Authentication requires your Eight Sleep account credentials set in ~/.config/eightctl/config.yaml or passed via the EIGHTCTL_EMAIL and EIGHTCTL_PASSWORD environment variables.

The API is unofficial and rate-limited. Repetitive logins should be avoided. This setup is useful if you own an Eight Sleep pod and want hardware adjustments from your terminal sessions.
