circleci — Claude plugin: build, test and deploy from chat
The circleci plugin wires CircleCI into Claude and Claude so the agent can run builds, tests and deploys without leaving the conversation.
Open on GitHubWhat circleci does
circleci is a CircleCI plugin for Claude and Claude. It gives the agent access to your CI/CD, so it can build the app, run the tests and push a deploy while you stay in the chat.
It ships as part of the openai/plugins repository under the MIT license. There are no standalone install commands in the repo — you add it through the plugin marketplace.
You need a CircleCI account and access to the project you want the agent to work on. Without that, there is nothing for the plugin to run. Worth checking before you install.
What it helps with
- kick off a build from the agent chat
- run the test suite and see which jobs failed
- ship a deploy without opening the CI web UI
- check pipeline status without leaving the editor
Example prompts for the agent
- run a CircleCI build for the current branch
- run the tests through CircleCI and show me what failed
- deploy the latest CircleCI build
