expo — Claude plugin: Expo and React Native skills
Official Expo skills for Claude: build native UI, ship to the stores, upgrade the SDK and untangle dependencies.
Open on GitHubWhat expo does
The plugin drops a set of Expo team skills into Claude. They cover three areas: app design, deployment and SDK upgrades. Twelve skills in total, grouped that way.
Design means building-native-ui for Expo Router navigation, styling and animations, expo-tailwind-setup for Tailwind CSS v4 with NativeWind v5, native-data-fetching for requests and offline support, and use-dom for running web code in a webview. There are also expo-ui-swift-ui and expo-ui-jetpack-compose for SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose components. The codex-expo-run-actions skill wires script/build_and_run.sh and .codex/environments/environment.toml so the Run button in the Claude app launches expo start.
Deployment and upgrades come from expo-deployment for the App Store, Play Store and EAS Hosting, expo-cicd-workflows for CI/CD YAML, and upgrading-expo for moving to a new SDK. That last one finds deprecated packages and their replacements, clears caches in managed and bare workflows, and fixes dependency conflicts after the jump. If your project is stuck on an old SDK, start there: a migration like expo-av to expo-audio and expo-video tends to stall without someone untangling the conflicts.
What it helps with

- add Tailwind CSS v4 through NativeWind v5
- wire the Claude Run button to
expo start - submit a build to App Store Connect and Google Play
- move to a new Expo SDK and resolve dependency conflicts
Example prompts for the agent
- help me set up Expo Router navigation for a new app
- configure Tailwind CSS v4 with NativeWind v5 in my Expo project
- walk me through an Expo SDK upgrade and fix the dependency conflicts
