Yardstick ATS — Claude Code MCP server: jobs, candidates, hiring
Hooks an assistant into the Yardstick ATS: 176 tools for jobs, candidates, applications, interviews and scorecards.
claude mcp add --transport http yardstick https://api.yardstick.team/mcpWhat Yardstick ATS does
Yardstick is an applicant tracking system, and its hosted MCP server at https://api.yardstick.team/mcp hands an assistant 176 tools over jobs, candidates, applications, interviews and scorecards. Ask it to push someone to the next stage, draft a note to a candidate, or pull a hiring report — from the app you already have open.
Nothing to install and no API key to paste: the server is hosted. In Claude, run claude mcp add --transport http yardstick https://api.yardstick.team/mcp, then /mcp and finish sign-in in the browser. Editors that read an mcp.json (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed) take the same URL in their config; Codex and Gemini CLI have their own codex mcp add and gemini mcp add lines. Cursor goes through a local server.
Sign-in is browser-based OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so there is no credential to copy. The app is identified through a Client ID Metadata Document; a client that only knows dynamic registration fails with a dynamic client registration error. That is a client limitation, not a broken config — pair such an app with the Yardstick CLI or a local MCP server. Tool listing works before anyone signs in, while hiring data needs an account and stays within that person's existing permissions. Tools marked read-only change nothing; the rest mostly write, and the assistant is expected to say what it is about to do. An administrator can revoke the connection from account settings at any moment.
What it helps with
- move a candidate to the next hiring stage
- draft an outreach email to a prospect
- pull a report on a job and its applications
- look up a person by public id
- create a referral link for a published job
Example prompts for the agent
- Which stage is the candidate with public id
usr_8f2at right now? - Draft a note to the applicants for the Backend role and leave it for review.
- Preview an ATS import from these JSON rows, but do not apply it.

Run claude mcp add --transport http yardstick https://api.yardstick.team/mcp, then /mcp to complete the browser sign-in.
What does Yardstick ATS do?
It gives your assistant access to your organisation's jobs, candidates, applications, interviews and scorecards. It acts as the signed-in user and cannot reach beyond their permissions.

No. The server is hosted and sign-in happens in the browser via OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The tool list is readable before sign-in; hiring data needs an account.
