What word-aligner does

The server connects over Streamable HTTP. It requires no credentials and supplies a single tool called create_word_alignment. When you ask an agent to inspect a sentence against its translation, the tool maps matching tokens. It outputs an image preview along with a URL storing the full alignment state inside a query parameter.

The resulting visualization clarifies reordered phrasing, omissions, and split words. The diagram accepts auxiliary lines for Leipzig interlinear glossing or phonetic transcriptions. Layout options handle right-to-left scripts such as Hebrew and Arabic, alongside vertical arrangements for Japanese or traditional Mongolian.

Because execution happens remotely on https://aligner.tinygods.dev/mcp, the tool breaks whenever the public endpoint goes offline.

What it helps with

  • generate word-level alignment diagrams for bilingual sentences
  • stack morpheme glosses and phonetic transcriptions into the diagram
  • display correspondences across RTL and vertical scripts
  • share interactive translation links without creating an account

Example prompts for the agent

  • Align Turkish words with their English translation and add an IPA tier.
  • Generate a vertical word-alignment diagram for this Japanese sentence.
