Voyagier — Claude Code MCP server: book real trips
Wires your agent into Voyagier so it can search flights, hotels and activities, price a trip and book it from the terminal.
claude mcp add --env VOYAGIER_TOKEN=<VOYAGIER_TOKEN> --env VOYAGIER_API_URL=<VOYAGIER_API_URL> --transport stdio voyagier -- npx -y @voyagier/cliWhat Voyagier does
Voyagier is an MCP server for booking actual travel. Each tool the server publishes becomes its own CLI command, voyagier <tool_name> --<param> <value>, assembled at runtime from the live tool list. Add a tool on the server side and it shows up in your terminal without a package upgrade.
A trip is built as a goal graph. You create a plan with dates, destination and travellers, run a flight or hotel search, attach the finished search to a goal on that plan, then pick from the returned options. Searches run asynchronously, so you poll the status until it reaches a terminal state. Booking is price-gated: book_plan takes an expected total in cents, and the reservation only goes through if it matches the quote.
You need a Voyagier token. voyagier auth login opens a browser flow and keeps the token out of your shell history. Where installs are blocked — a sandboxed agent or CI — every command still runs through npx with VOYAGIER_TOKEN set. The tool list is cached in ~/.voyagier/tools-cache.json for 24 hours; voyagier doctor refreshes it and reports the connection state.
What it helps with
- search flights for a route and date, then attach the result to a trip goal
- compare hotel options and their prices
- create a client record and scaffold a plan with the travelling party
- pull a plan quote and book at that exact price
- find the right tool for a task with
search_tools
Example prompts for the agent
- Search flights from BWI to LIS on 2026-11-20 and show me the options
- Create a plan for Lisbon from 2026-11-20 to 2026-11-27 for one adult
- Book the plan at the current quote

Questions about Voyagier
How do I install Voyagier in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add cli -e VOYAGIER_TOKEN=<VOYAGIER_TOKEN> -- npx -y @voyagier/cli. The token is passed as an environment variable when the server is registered.
What does Voyagier do?
It gives your agent tools for planning and booking travel: destination, flight, hotel and activity search, plan assembly, quoting and booking. Everything syncs to voyagier.com.
Do I need a token to use it?
Yes, commands fail authorization without one. Get it with voyagier auth login, or pass VOYAGIER_TOKEN when running through npx in environments where you cannot install.
