hotelbooking-ai — Claude Code and Codex MCP server for hotels
Gives your agent hotel search and booking tools: live prices, property details and search tags arrive inside the conversation. Useful when an agent builds a trip.
claude mcp add hotelbooking-ai -e ROLLINGGO_API_KEY=<ROLLINGGO_API_KEY> -- npx -y hotelbooking-aiWhat hotelbooking-ai does
The server exposes three tools: searchHotels, getHotelDetail and getHotelSearchTags. Your agent picks them up on its own once you ask for a place to stay near a landmark or a comparison by stars and dates. Results come from a live feed, so the price the model reports is the one to work with.
It runs locally with npx -y hotelbooking-ai and reads the key from ROLLINGGO_API_KEY. You get that key for free in the RollingGo partner centre after signing up; the same account holds the dashboard for orders and markups. Authorisation fails without it.
When you test the connection by hand over cURL, send the Accept: application/json, text/event-stream header. Skip it and the server answers with a 400 error, so start debugging there.
What it helps with
- find hotels near a chosen landmark
- compare properties by price and star rating
- pull details for one hotel into a trip write-up
- pick search tags that match a user request
- keep booking inside the agent conversation
Example prompts for the agent
- Find a five-star hotel near the Bund for two nights starting the day after tomorrow
- Show details for the first hotel and what a room costs
- Suggest search tags for hotels in Shanghai with a river view
