What universalcartmerchantgate-mcp does

The endpoint is https://universalcartmerchantgate.clauxel.com/mcp, served over streamable HTTP. Five tools ship with it: check_universal_cart_readiness for store readiness, classify_checkout_blocker for sorting a checkout failure into a class, explain_offer_gap for gaps between offer and expectation, issue_agentic_commerce_receipt for a structured receipt, and export_readiness_log for the log. Tool output is structured, so it drops into a report or passes along an agent chain without cleanup.

Production calls need a bearer token. The public server card sits at https://universalcartmerchantgate.clauxel.com/server-card.json, and the registry name is com.clauxel.universalcartmerchantgate/universalcartmerchantgate-mcp. Get that token first. Without it your production requests simply fail, and you would be wiring the server into a config for nothing.

The repository holds documentation only — no production source, no payment configuration, no customer records. Commerce teams, merchant operations, marketplace owners and agentic checkout reviewers are the intended users.

What it helps with

  • check whether a store is ready for Universal Cart
  • pin down what blocks a checkout
  • explain a gap between an offer and what the buyer expects
  • issue a structured receipt for an agentic purchase
  • export the readiness log

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check this store's Universal Cart readiness and tell me what is missing
  • Classify why checkout is failing and name the blocker type
  • Export the readiness log for the past week
