Truthifi — Claude Code MCP server: household accounts and portfolio
Gives your assistant one verified household record: accounts, holdings, fees and the Truthifi Score. It cannot move money.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://api.truthifi.com/mcpWhat Truthifi does
The server runs on Truthifi's side at https://api.truthifi.com/mcp over Streamable HTTP, and sign-in uses OAuth with Dynamic Client Registration. You authenticate with Truthifi in a browser, so bank or brokerage credentials never pass through the assistant. The repository ships documentation, client configs and agent skills only — there is nothing to build or run locally.
It exposes 34 tools. They return your linked accounts and how deep the history goes for each, groups and goals, details on the advisors tied to your accounts drawn from public regulatory records, positions on a given day, a breakdown of the portfolio by asset class, sector, industry and country, single-stock exposure including what you hold inside funds, allocation across market-cap sizes, balance and return history against a benchmark, fees split by type, transactions, spending and income flows, plus assets and liabilities you track by hand. Three tools write data inside Truthifi; the rest only read.
Bank and brokerage access is read-only: no tool can move money, place a trade or change settings at your institution. Some tools spend credits, so a free plan hits limits. A Truthifi account is required, and what you see for a given institution depends on what the data partner returns.
What it helps with
- total up fees across every account at once
- see true single-stock exposure including fund holdings
- compare portfolio return against a matching benchmark
- break the portfolio down by asset class and country
- build a household balance sheet with manual assets and debts
Example prompts for the agent
- Show what I pay in fees across all accounts and which one costs the most
- Break my portfolio down by asset class and tell me where I'm most concentrated
- Build my household balance sheet including the house and the mortgage
