Fincept — Claude Code MCP server: markets and analytics
A hosted MCP server that brings quotes, filings and analytics into your AI client through 443 tools and 17 engines. OAuth sign-in required.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://enterprise.fincept.in/mcpWhat Fincept does
Fincept runs as a remote MCP server at https://enterprise.fincept.in/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Once connected, your agent can pull quotes and OHLCV candles, option chains, futures curves, fundamentals, funds and symbol lookups. Global economic series, SEC filings, deals and the economic calendar sit alongside them.
The analytics side is a set of engines: a scanner covering roughly 4,000 fields per market, performance reports with drawdowns and overfitting checks, technicals with 201 indicators and 61 candlestick patterns, forecasting, volatility, regimes, copulas, a portfolio optimizer, and pricing for curves, bonds, swaps, credit and options. Trading tools reach the Fincept Paper account only, so no real money moves.
Sign-in happens in the browser through OAuth 2.1 with your Fincept account, and no API key is involved. An active Exclusive, Exclusive+ or Exclusive Pro plan is what makes the server usable, since tools draw on the same credits and quotas as the terminal. The catalog opens in stages: a small core set of tools is listed up front, and fincept_search_tools, fincept_describe_tool and fincept_call_tool reach the rest. Large results get stored server-side and can be paged through.
What it helps with
- check a ticker's latest quote and recent daily candles
- assemble a risk-parity portfolio across several ETFs
- screen index constituents against technical conditions
- fit a time-series model and forecast forward values
- stress-test a strategy for drawdowns and overfitting
Example prompts for the agent
- Using Fincept, pull the latest quote for AAPL plus the last five daily candles
- Using Fincept, screen S&P 500 names for RSI below 30 that also trade above their 200-day average
