Tradify by Cotlet — Claude Code MCP server: how to install
Connects Tradify to AI agents to manage jobs, invoices, quotes, and schedules. Runs locally using your existing Chrome session.
claude mcp add --transport http tradify https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1/tradify/connectWhat Tradify by Cotlet does
Tradify lacks a public developer API or webhooks. This MCP server exposes 15 internal endpoints to your coding agent. It manages jobs and invoices directly from your workspace.
Execution happens locally on Python 3.11 or newer. You log into your account using Google Chrome 144 or above. The helper command tradify-mcp connect grabs your browser cookies via Chrome DevTools Protocol and stores them in ~/.config/tradify-api-mcp/session.json. Network requests rely on curl_cffi to match the browser's TLS signature.
Emailing invoices and quotes requires two-step security enabled in your Tradify profile. The platform outright rejects message sending without it. The codebase is restricted to personal and noncommercial usage under the PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 license.
What it helps with
- retrieve job lists and update progress statuses
- generate customer quotes and convert them to invoices
- send billing documents to clients by email
- inspect upcoming appointments in the Tradify scheduler
Example prompts for the agent
- List all overdue invoices in Tradify
- Create a new job for customer Northside Plumbing and update its status
- Check the Tradify schedule for today and show upcoming appointments
