The server checks for errors and warnings across node trees, catching broken references and shader problems via get_td_node_errors. Compatibility depends on the component API version (minimum supported is 1.3.0) rather than the npm package version. Without TouchDesigner running and listening via WebServer DAT, connection attempts trigger ECONNREFUSED and get cached for 60 seconds before retrying.
