time-management — Claude Code MCP server for time tracking
Connect an assistant to Pyunto Time Management to inspect schedules, summarize logged hours, and manage time blocks.
claude mcp add --env PYUNTO_TM_API_KEY=<PYUNTO_TM_API_KEY> --env PYUNTO_TM_BASE_URL=<PYUNTO_TM_BASE_URL> --env PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD=<PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD> --env PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD_FILE=<PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD_FILE> --transport stdio mcp -- npx -y @pyunto/tm-mcpWhat time-management does
The server exposes tools for browsing projects, tasks, and time blocks, plus summaries grouped by project, task, or date. An assistant can add or edit entries with log_time and update_time_block. Deletion targets one block at a time, and the model is instructed to show that block and get the user's approval first.
Set PYUNTO_TM_API_KEY to access account data. To decrypt E2EE names and notes, provide the Pyunto TM password through PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD or PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD_FILE; the password is handled locally. Schedule data and aggregates remain available without it, but name fields are empty. MCP clients launch the server with npx -y @pyunto/tm-mcp.
What it helps with
- inspect projects and tasks in a Pyunto schedule
- summarize logged hours by project or date
- add a time entry to a block
- edit or remove a single time block
Example prompts for the agent
- Show my Pyunto Time Management projects and tasks.
- Summarize logged hours by project for the selected period.
- Add a time entry, then show me the block before removing it.

Questions about time-management
How do I install time-management in Claude Code?
Run `claude mcp add time-management -e PYUNTO_TM_API_KEY=<PYUNTO_TM_API_KEY> -e PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD=<PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD> -e PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD_FILE=<PYUNTO_TM_PASSWORD_FILE> -- npx -y @pyunto/tm-mcp`. Set the API key for account data; the password options enable E2EE decryption.
What does time-management do?
It connects an assistant to Pyunto Time Management for schedule and project data, grouped time summaries, and time-block changes.
Can it read encrypted names without a password?
No. Schedule details such as dates, durations, and aggregates are still available, while encrypted names and notes need the password.
