What TickDB Market Data does

TickDB Market Data is an MCP server reachable at https://mcp.tickdb.ai/. It hands the agent a price snapshot, historical and current candles, order book depth and tick-by-tick trades for a single instrument. The same endpoint covers forex, precious metals, indices, US, Hong Kong and A-share stocks, China and Hong Kong futures, and crypto pairs. Symbols look like AAPL.US, 700.HK, XAUUSD, BTCUSDT.

The repository ships a Python implementation you can self-host instead of pointing at the hosted endpoint. The public address accepts OAuth or a header carrying your key. Register on TickDB to get that key — no card needed. Requests for data fail without it, so sort the key out first.

Beyond quotes, the server exposes company fundamentals for US, Hong Kong and A-share equities: financial statements, PE valuation, revenue breakdown, shareholders, dividends and corporate actions. Coverage depends on the instrument and what your key is allowed to reach. Futures codes come from the catalogue at GET /v1/symbols/available?type=futures, since ordinary contracts roll with the delivery month.

What it helps with

  • pull a current price for several tickers in one call
  • export historical candles to backtest a strategy
  • check order book depth before placing a trade
  • gather an issuer's fundamentals into one table
  • follow the trade stream for a single instrument

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show me the current price of AAPL.US, 700.HK and BTCUSDT
  • Pull hourly K-line data for 700.HK over the last day
  • What does the order book for AAPL.US look like right now?
