Stripe hosts a remote MCP server at https://mcp.stripe.com. It connects over HTTP and authenticates with OAuth, so no API key goes into your config. Once connected, the agent sees tools for customers, products and payments.
The server works with Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Gemini CLI. Each client has its own command or config block. In Claude that's claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.stripe.com; Cursor and Copilot take a JSON entry with a url field.
Autonomous agents are supported too. If you want ready-made instructions and auto-updating skills, Stripe ships separate plugins for Claude and Codex that sit on top and add agent tools to the MCP connection.
