yandex-webmaster-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, install
Connects Yandex.Webmaster API to your coding agent. Inspect search traffic and submit pages for indexing directly from chat.
claude mcp add yandex-webmaster-mcp -e YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN=<YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN> -- npx -y @theyahia/yandex-webmaster-mcpWhat yandex-webmaster-mcp does
This server exposes 13 tools for Yandex.Webmaster. It lets you review search query performance and track page indexing trends. The agent can return responses formatted as Markdown or raw JSON.
Setup requires a Yandex OAuth token with the webmaster:api permission. You do not need to configure a numerical user ID manually because the server detects it automatically. It communicates over standard I/O or runs as a Streamable HTTP service.
HTTP mode restricts traffic to localhost by default to protect against DNS rebinding attacks. Multi-tenancy is not supported. The authentication token is shared globally through a single environment variable.
What it helps with
- track search queries and click metrics in Yandex
- request recrawls for updated web pages
- inspect site diagnostics and crawling errors
- monitor sitemaps and indexing history
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the indexing status and recent exclusion trends for my site.
- Show the top search queries and impressions from the past week.
- Submit a URL for recrawling and report the remaining daily quota.
