StateDock — Claude Code MCP server: shared agent memory
Keeps goals, decisions and handoffs in one place so Claude, Cursor and Codex can read project context instead of starting over.
claude mcp add --transport http statedock https://statedock.dev/mcpWhat StateDock does
StateDock gives you and your coding agents a shared task layer. Goals, decisions and handoffs sit in one store; agents pull context over MCP, take work that is ready and write their own handoffs back. The next agent sees where the last one stopped.
This is the Cloudflare self-hosted edition. You deploy it inside your own Cloudflare account and run its Workers, D1, KV, R2, domain, email delivery and backups yourself. It is a separate product from StateDock Cloud and carries no Cloud subscription tiers. If you would rather run it on your own machine or a Linux box from a single command, StateDock Local is the one to pick.
Coding-tool plugins live in a separate MIT repository: they save plans, restore task context and record progress through StateDock Remote MCP. The published packages point at https://statedock.dev/mcp by default, so a self-hosted setup needs its own MCP configuration. These plugins only record and restore project state — they do not run task code or schedule agents.
What it helps with
- hand a task's context to an agent without retyping it
- record a decision so the next agent does not relitigate it
- restore project state after switching tools
- log progress on a task from inside the agent
- run shared agent memory inside your own Cloudflare account
Example prompts for the agent
- Add the StateDock MCP server with
claude mcp add --transport http statedock https://statedock.dev/mcp - Save this task's plan to StateDock and mark what is already done
- Pull the context of the earlier task on this module from StateDock

Questions about StateDock
How do I install StateDock in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http statedock https://statedock.dev/mcp. That registers the server under the name statedock over HTTP transport.
What does StateDock do?
It holds goals, decisions and handoffs in one place so coding agents can read project context over MCP and write their own handoffs back. The next agent picks up where the previous one left off.
How is self-hosting different from StateDock Cloud?
They are separate products. The Cloudflare edition runs in your account, and you operate its Workers, D1, KV, R2, domain, email and backups. It has no StateDock Cloud subscription tiers.
