Screenify Studio — Claude Code MCP server: demo video on request
Ask your assistant for a demo and get a finished file back, styled with mockups and exported. Recording and export happen locally on your Mac.
Open on GitHubWhat Screenify Studio does
This server hands the assistant the tools to capture a screen, a single window, an area, a simulator or a live web page. The take can then be dressed up: wallpapers, device and photo mockups, auto-zoom, camera motion, animated titles. Clips you already have open the same way and get the same treatment. Output lands as mp4, mov, gif or webp.
There is no binary inside the bundle. screenify.mcpb is a manifest, a launcher and an icon; the real work is done by the CLI that ships with the app. So Screenify Studio 2.2.0 or newer has to be on the Mac first. The repo is MIT, the app itself is proprietary — that split matters if you plan to redistribute anything.
Easiest registration runs from the app: Settings → AI Assistants → Connect AI assistants writes the server into every client it finds. From a shell, run screenify mcp install. Recordings and exports stay in your folders and the server keeps no telemetry. Two features touch the network, and only on request: web capture fetches the URL you name, and optional AI-director effects call the provider tied to your own API key.
Clients that read the MCP registry can pull it as studio.screenify/screenify.
What it helps with
- capture a landing page demo and get a finished file
- drop a laptop or photo mockup onto a screen recording
- add auto-zoom and camera moves to key moments
- restyle an existing clip for a platform preset
- export a short loop as gif for the docs
Example prompts for the agent
- Open
demo.mov, add auto-zoom on the pricing block and export to mp4 - Capture the simulator window with an animated title, then export a gif

Questions about Screenify Studio
How do I install Screenify Studio in Claude Code?
Open Screenify Studio, go to Settings → AI Assistants → Connect AI assistants, and it registers the server with every AI client on your Mac. The terminal route is screenify mcp install.
What does Screenify Studio do?
It records a screen, window, area, simulator or web page and styles the result with wallpapers, mockups, zoom, effects and titles. Exports come out as mp4, mov, gif or webp.
Does the server need a network connection?
Not for normal work — capture and export run locally. Two optional features reach out: web capture, which loads the URL you give it, and AI-director effects, which call the provider you supplied a key for.
