sber-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects SberBank Online to coding assistants to inspect account balances and transaction history. Operates via direct HTTP calls.
claude mcp add sber-mcp -- uvx sber-unofficial-mcpWhat sber-mcp does
This server lets an assistant fetch bank accounts and review transaction records. Everything runs through direct HTTP requests without spinning up Chrome, WebDriver, or capturing network archives. A local --demo flag provides synthetic financial data to test prompts without any bank requests.
By default, write access stays disabled. The model cannot see transfer or rename functions unless you pass the --allow-writes flag on startup. Sensitive credentials, OTP codes, and PINs never touch the model context; the setup process runs interactively in the terminal and stores profiles with 0600 permissions.
Because this is an unofficial integration, running it on live bank accounts carries risk of account suspension.
What it helps with
- check balances across bank cards and accounts
- retrieve recent transaction history through an agent
- execute transfers between own accounts with human confirmation
- test banking prompts using synthetic offline demo data
Example prompts for the agent
- What are the current balances on my cards?
- Show my recent debit card transactions
- Prepare a transfer between my accounts
