mcp · rolliinc — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects Rolli IQ to your coding agent for social media monitoring, expert discovery, and automated topic investigations across networks like Reddit, X, and YouTube.
claude mcp add --env ROLLI_API_TOKEN=<ROLLI_API_TOKEN> --env ROLLI_USER_ID=<ROLLI_USER_ID> --transport stdio rolliinc-mcp -- npx -y @rolli/mcpWhat mcp does
This server wires your AI workspace into Rolli IQ over standard MCP pipes. It pulls conversations from platforms such as Reddit, X, and YouTube, returning raw message threads alongside structured topic graphs. You can also look up creator profiles or locate niche authorities using plain text prompts.
The package handles long-running investigations through dedicated background agents. You can schedule these investigative runs on daily or weekly intervals to track emerging narratives automatically. By default, client polling checks status every 5000 milliseconds and times out after 600000 milliseconds.
Without a valid ROLLI_API_TOKEN set in your environment, the server refuses every request. Execution happens via npx -y @rolli/mcp. Webhook destinations for search completion pings can be registered through the update_integration_setup tool.
What it helps with
- track social discussions across Reddit and X
- discover topic authorities through natural language queries
- schedule periodic automated intelligence reports
- retrieve conversation topic branches for hashtag research
- monitor API consumption across team accounts
Example prompts for the agent
- Find recent discussions about machine learning on Reddit and display the main conversation clusters.
- Trigger an agent investigation for our product name and compile a Markdown summary.
- Check our current Rolli API usage figures for the active billing cycle.
