Postproxy — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects AI assistants to the Postproxy API to publish updates, track engagement metrics, and monitor direct messages across social platforms.
claude mcp add --transport http postproxy https://mcp.postproxy.dev/mcpWhat Postproxy does
This server bridges AI agents with the Postproxy API to handle multi-platform publishing. It provides dedicated tools such as summary_get for retrieving rolling snapshots of deliveries and replies, profiles_list for browsing active accounts, and profiles_placements for mapping targets like Telegram channels, LinkedIn pages, or WhatsApp numbers.
You need a valid POSTPROXY_API_KEY before connecting. Without configured accounts or active credentials, posting actions will fail immediately.
The server also manages profile connections by generating OAuth links via profile_groups_initialize_connection. Aggregated metrics reflect lifetime numbers for posts shared inside the chosen timeframe, provided analytics tracking is enabled in your workspace.
What it helps with
- check overdue direct messages and pending comment replies across accounts
- fetch aggregated impressions and engagement counts for recent posts
- list active profile groups and connected publishing targets
- generate authorization URLs to connect new social profiles
Example prompts for the agent
- Give me an activity summary for all connected accounts over the last 7 days.
- List the available placements for my Telegram and LinkedIn profiles.
- Generate a setup link to connect an Instagram account to my brand group.
