PostLake — Claude Code MCP server: post to social networks
One MCP endpoint for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and Bluesky: publishing, scheduling, replies and metrics.
claude mcp add --transport http social https://api.postlake.dev/mcpWhat PostLake does
PostLake runs as a remote MCP server at https://api.postlake.dev/mcp. There is no local process to start and nothing to self-host. You register the server in your MCP client and approve the PostLake OAuth flow in a browser once, after which the agent can act on the accounts you connected. Nine platform SDKs and nine auth models collapse into a single tool surface with one result shape.
The server exposes 63 tools grouped by outcome. create_post and create_scheduled_calendar handle publishing, validate_post runs a free dry run first, upload_media takes care of files, and list_conversations plus reply_to_comment cover the inbox. Idempotency keys make retries safe, and confirm_post checks an asynchronous provider after it accepts a post. Every call reports the result per target, so a partial failure stays visible instead of looking like success.
The account owner can require approval on an OAuth connection. When that is on, publish requests from the agent land as drafts and the agent cannot approve its own work; access is revoked from the PostLake dashboard. No social-network password is involved. Agents running on an API key instead need POSTLAKE_API_KEY set in their runtime, otherwise the skills have nothing to authenticate with.
What it helps with
- publish one post across several networks at once
- dry-run a post before spending a credit
- schedule a post for a specific time
- read comments and reply from inside the agent
- pull post performance and decide the next move
Example prompts for the agent
- Publish this text to X and LinkedIn, validate it first
- Schedule a post for tomorrow at 10:00 on Instagram and Threads
- Read the unread comments and reply to the ones asking about pricing

Questions about PostLake
How do I install PostLake in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http postlake https://api.postlake.dev/mcp, then finish the browser OAuth approval.
What does PostLake do?
It lets an agent publish, schedule, read incoming messages and check metrics across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Pinterest through one MCP server.
Does it need my social network password?
No. Access goes through OAuth: the account owner approves the connection in a browser and can revoke the agent later.
