RoboSystems — MCP server for accounting knowledge graphs
A remote MCP server that lets an agent read and operate financial data: chart of accounts, entries, statements and public SEC filings.
claude mcp add --transport http robosystems https://api.robosystems.ai/v1/mcpWhat RoboSystems does
RoboSystems keeps financial records as a graph: transactions, reporting facts and the calculation links between them stay connected, so nothing gets reduced to flat tables. An agent can query that graph and act on it — closing a period, assembling statements, looking at a portfolio next to public SEC filings.
The server speaks HTTP and works with Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline and Zed at https://api.robosystems.ai/v1/mcp. Two domains sit behind it: RoboLedger for bookkeeping and reporting, RoboInvestor for portfolios. The chart of accounts gets mapped onto US-GAAP concepts, writes go through named operations, and finished reports can be exported as an XBRL 2.1 package. Reads use GraphQL; every write is idempotent.
Each tenant gets a graph of its own on a separate instance, with a dedicated OLTP schema, so your taxonomies and calculation structures never share a table with another account. Access to the platform and an auth key are prerequisites — requests to api.robosystems.ai fail without them. QuickBooks sync staleness is one of the gates on period close, which means a ledger that has drifted out of step will block the close until it is resolved.
What it helps with
- map the chart of accounts to US-GAAP and spot gaps
- close a period only after the balance equation checks out
- render a multi-period statement from shared facts
- project an operating plan onto the same statement structures
- export a finished report as an XBRL 2.1 package
Example prompts for the agent
- Show the schedule obligations still open at quarter end
- Draft an income statement for the last few periods
- Compare our numbers against the public SEC filings library

Questions about RoboSystems
How do I install RoboSystems in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http robosystems https://api.robosystems.ai/v1/mcp and the server is registered as an HTTP MCP server.

Which platforms does it work with?
Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline and Zed. All of them connect to the same HTTP endpoint.
