What Robinhood Portfolio Research does

The server exposes account details, portfolio value, and holdings with cost basis, current value, and profit or loss. It can also retrieve quotes, price history, news, earnings dates, and analyst ratings. It does not provide trading actions.

Robinhood credentials are required to sign in. Accounts with TOTP can use an authenticator secret; otherwise, the first tool call triggers a push approval in the Robinhood app. After a failed login, the server caches the error for about five minutes, so another call during that window will not retry authentication. The server relies on Robinhood’s unofficial API, which can stop working without notice.

What it helps with

  • check portfolio value and daily change
  • spot holdings with notable gains or losses
  • compare ticker quotes and company metrics
  • find upcoming earnings dates for portfolio holdings
  • review stocks on a watchlist

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show my Robinhood portfolio value and its daily change.
  • Compare NVDA’s quote and company metrics with my holding.
  • Which companies in my portfolio have upcoming earnings dates?
