PostSider — Claude Code MCP server: setup
This MCP server lets an AI agent read PostSider channels, prepare social posts, and send drafts into human approval workflows.
claude mcp add --env POSTSIDER_API_KEY=<POSTSIDER_API_KEY> --env POSTSIDER_API_URL=<POSTSIDER_API_URL> --transport stdio mcp -- npx -y @postsider/mcpWhat PostSider does
PostSider gives an agent API access to a shared social media calendar. It can inspect connected channels, channel rules, queue plans, media, saved content items, post states, and analytics. The agent can also locate an open publishing slot.
Write actions cover draft creation, scheduling, media uploads, and approval requests. The connection uses an organization key in POSTSIDER_API_KEY; a separate PostSider deployment can be selected with POSTSIDER_API_URL. The server will not connect without the API key. Run it through npx -y @postsider/mcp or use a local stdio setup.
What it helps with
- inspect connected social channels
- find an open publishing slot
- turn campaign copy into a draft
- send a draft for human approval
Example prompts for the agent
- List my connected PostSider channels without changing anything.
- Find the next open slot for the selected channel and create a draft, but do not publish it.
- Review the PostSider calendar and send the chosen draft for approval.
