Rephonic — Claude Code MCP server: podcast data for agents
Wires your agent into Rephonic's podcast database: show search, listener demographics, contacts, transcripts and charts. Handy for guest pitching and media lists.
claude mcp add --transport http rephonic https://mcp.rephonic.comWhat Rephonic does
Rephonic is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.rephonic.com. It hands your agent podcast data: find shows by topic or publisher, pull episodes and full transcripts, read ratings and listener reviews, grab host and guest contacts, social accounts with follower metrics, metric history, overlapping audiences, Apple, Spotify and YouTube chart positions, plus sponsors with ad copy and promo codes.
Roughly two dozen tools sit behind it. search_podcasts and search_episodes match on titles, show notes and transcripts; find_podcast turns an Apple/iTunes ID, Spotify ID, YouTube channel ID or RSS URL into a Rephonic ID; lookup_podcast returns metadata and chart rankings. Other tools cover demographics, contacts, a single episode's transcript and its sponsors. Category, country, language, profession and interest lookups feed the search filters, and api_quota reports how many requests you have left.
A Rephonic API key is required, and the connector asks for it during setup. Claude takes one command; Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a config entry. Without the key the API calls fail, so create one in the Rephonic developer dashboard first.
What it helps with
- find podcasts that match a topic and audience
- pull host and guest contacts for pitching
- read an episode transcript and lift quotes from it
- check listener demographics for a show
- track where competitors get mentioned on podcasts
Example prompts for the agent
- Find fintech podcasts with at least 10k listeners and list the host contacts
- Pull the transcript of this show's latest episode and flag every mention of our brand
- Show listener demographics and sponsors for the podcast behind this RSS feed
