Partiful by Cotlet — Claude Code MCP server: setup guide
Connects AI agents to Partiful for guest lists, event management, and text blasts through your Chrome session. Useful when automating event operations locally.
claude mcp add --transport http partiful https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1/partiful/connectWhat Partiful by Cotlet does
Partiful lacks a public developer interface. This integration bridges that gap by offering 14 tools covering event retrieval, guest questionnaires, CSV exports, approvals, and mass text messages. The script attaches to your running Google Chrome instance via DevTools Protocol, reads the active login session, and writes credentials to ~/.config/partiful-api-mcp/session.json.
Outgoing network requests rely on curl_cffi to replicate the TLS profile of Chrome directly. You get no memory penalty from headless browser instances. Beside stdio MCP communication, the package also hosts a local REST service on port 8787.
Running this setup requires Python 3.11+ alongside Google Chrome 144 or newer. The code ships under the PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 license, which prevents commercial deployment. Account actions remain restricted to gatherings where you hold host or cohost permissions.
What it helps with
- export attendee survey answers into a CSV file
- process guest approvals for upcoming gatherings
- trigger Text Blasts to confirmed party attendees
- check in arriving guests at an event
Example prompts for the agent
- List all Partiful events organized by my account
- Export guest survey responses for event
event_id - Send a Text Blast announcement to all confirmed guests
