Numeratica — financial planning MCP server for Claude Code
Connect Claude Code to Numeratica’s financial API for retirement, tax and benefit calculations. Without an API key, you can browse the tool catalogue.
claude mcp add --env NUMERATICA_API_KEY=<NUMERATICA_API_KEY> --env NUMERATICA_BASE_URL=<NUMERATICA_BASE_URL> --env NUMERATICA_TIMEOUT_MS=<NUMERATICA_TIMEOUT_MS> --transport stdio numeratica-financial-planning-calculations -- npx -y @numeratica/mcpWhat Numeratica — financial planning calculations does
Numeratica forwards MCP requests to the financial-planning API and returns its responses to the client. Available calculations cover retirement Monte Carlo, Roth conversions, required minimum distributions (RMDs), taxes, IRMAA and Social Security. The server handles transport; the API supplies the calculation logic.
The client runs the package with npx, and Node.js 20 or later is required. Browsing the catalogue works without a key, but calculations require a free NUMERATICA_API_KEY. The key travels in the authorization header and is not logged. To add the server to Claude Code with a key, run:
What it helps with
- model retirement outcomes with Monte Carlo
- calculate Roth conversion scenarios
- estimate required minimum distributions
- check tax and IRMAA calculations
- find available financial planning tools
Example prompts for the agent
- Run a retirement Monte Carlo for someone retiring at 65.
- Calculate Roth conversion scenarios for this plan.
- Show me the available tax and benefit calculations.
