Milanote by Cotlet — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Connect an AI agent to Milanote boards to work with notes, links, and tasks. The server runs on your computer and uses a Chrome session.
claude mcp add --transport http milanote https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1/milanote/connectWhat Milanote by Cotlet does
The server gives an agent tools for viewing and editing Milanote boards, notes, links, task lists, columns, and labels. It also supports comments, trash, sharing, and export. Editing a board shared with you requires edit access.
To connect, milanote-mcp connect reads cookies from your signed-in Google Chrome session and saves them in ~/.config/milanote-api-mcp/session.json. It does not access your password. You need Python 3.11 or later and Chrome signed in to Milanote; if the account session expires, reconnect through the browser.
Claude Code can start the server with uvx, so you do not have to install the package first. The listed clients also include Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, Zed, and Gemini CLI. The self-hosted software is licensed for noncommercial use.
What it helps with

- add a note or link to a board

- find and edit a board column or label
- export board content
