Mencoro — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects brand visibility tracking in AI answer engines to coding assistants. Tracks sentiment, rank, and share of voice in ChatGPT and Google.
claude mcp add --transport http mencoro https://api.mencoro.com/mcpWhat Mencoro does
Mencoro monitors how brands appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, and Google Shopping. The MCP connection exposes 66 tools (31 read-only and 35 state-changing) along with 20 prompts to your assistant. Through these endpoints, an agent checks share of voice, creates query clusters, or runs discovery tasks.
The server runs as a hosted endpoint at https://api.mencoro.com/mcp. For hosts limited to stdio execution, the @mencoro/mcp npm package works as a local bridge. Access levels split across three distinct permissions: read, write, and organization:manage.
Without completing OAuth or passing an access token, only the get_mencoro_guide prompt returns data. Fetching analytics or modifying tracked entities fails immediately without active credentials.
What it helps with
- Track brand mentions and visibility across ChatGPT and Perplexity
- Inspect brand sentiment and share of voice in Google AI Overview
- Create and edit tracked query clusters directly from chat
- Trigger competitor discovery jobs through natural language instructions
Example prompts for the agent
- Check our current share of voice and sentiment in Perplexity
- Add a new query cluster for competitor monitoring to our active project
- Run a check on how our brand ranks in Google AI Overview
