mcp-zenvia — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Connect an agent to Zenvia to send messages across channels, manage contacts, and inspect reports. Useful when you want messaging actions available in an AI coding workflow.
claude mcp add mcp-zenvia -e ZENVIA_API_TOKEN=<ZENVIA_API_TOKEN> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-zenviaWhat mcp-zenvia does
This MCP server gives an agent access to Zenvia messaging: SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email, voice, and Facebook Messenger. It can also look up delivery status, manage contacts and approved templates, handle event subscriptions, and put phone numbers on the opt-out list.
A Zenvia API token is required. Set ZENVIA_API_TOKEN before connecting; without it, the server cannot authenticate with the API. In Claude Code, add the server with claude mcp add mcp-zenvia -e ZENVIA_API_TOKEN=<ZENVIA_API_TOKEN> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-zenvia. Zenvia’s dashboard includes a sandbox for testing messages.
What it helps with
- send an SMS or WhatsApp message through an agent
- check delivery status using a message ID
- create or remove a Zenvia contact
- retrieve report entries for a date range
- suppress future messages to a phone number
Example prompts for the agent
- Send an SMS to the provided number saying the order is ready.
- Check delivery for message ID
msg-123. - Add this phone number to the opt-out list.
