CTRLRun Operator — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Review CTRLRun requests waiting for a human decision, then approve or reject them from an MCP client.
claude mcp add ctrlrun-mcp-operator -- uvx ctrlrunWhat CTRLRun Operator does
CTRLRun Operator brings CTRLRun’s pending approval workflow into an MCP client. It lets you list held requests, inspect one, and decide whether to grant or deny it. This is useful when an agent must pause for a person before a sensitive action proceeds.
In Claude Code, launch the server with uvx ctrlrun through the MCP registration command. The server exposes CTRLRun approvals; it does not replace CTRLRun’s rules or request handling. That distinction matters: this MCP server is the interface for responding to pending decisions.
What it helps with
- find CTRLRun actions awaiting a human decision
- inspect a pending request before responding
- grant an action that is waiting for approval
- deny an agent’s pending request
Example prompts for the agent
- List CTRLRun requests waiting for a human decision.
- Inspect the pending request and explain what action needs approval.
- Reject this CTRLRun request.
