MCP Tenant Pair — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Adds shared state for pairs and small groups to MCP projects, while keeping each member’s personal data separate. Useful when several people need to work with the same state.
claude mcp add tenant-pair -- npx -y mcp-tenant-pair-demoWhat MCP Tenant Pair does
MCP Tenant Pair is a library and demo MCP server for multi-user projects. Members can create a pair, invite others, keep personal preferences separate from shared state, and leave the group. The demo exposes tools for managing membership, state, and conflicts.
Storage options are SQLite and Postgres. The data model keeps a history of changes for each key; conflicts can be handled by LWWResolver, ManualResolver, or a custom implementation of the resolver interface. Node.js 20.0.0 or later is required to use it; building the repository requires 20.19+ or 22.12+. The demo uses stdio, while the library has no transport dependency.
What it helps with
- create a pair and invite another member
- separate personal preferences from shared state
- keep a history of state changes
- resolve conflicting writes
- let a member leave or remove them from a group
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a pair and invite a second member.
- Store one member’s preferences separately from the pair’s shared state.
- Show the shared-state history and find conflicting writes.
