mcp-pipedrive — Claude Code MCP server: Pipedrive CRM access
An MCP server that gives your coding agent Pipedrive CRM tools — deals, contacts, pipelines, tasks and more — through plain conversation.
claude mcp add --env PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN=<PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN> --env PIPEDRIVE_COMPANY_DOMAIN=<PIPEDRIVE_COMPANY_DOMAIN> --env PIPEDRIVE_TOOLSETS=<PIPEDRIVE_TOOLSETS> --env PIPEDRIVE_READ_ONLY=<PIPEDRIVE_READ_ONLY> --transport stdio mcp-pipedrive -- npx -y @nubiia/mcp-pipedriveWhat mcp-pipedrive does
The server maps the Pipedrive REST API, both versions, onto agent tools grouped by category: deals, persons, organizations, projects, pipelines, leads, products, notes, activities, files, webhooks and others. You can switch categories on or off with PIPEDRIVE_TOOLSETS, which keeps the tool list short when you only need deals. A read-only switch, PIPEDRIVE_READ_ONLY, blocks every write call.
Requests that fail with 429 or 5xx are retried with growing delays, there is a rate cap and a short-lived cache for data fetched often. Inputs are validated at runtime and schemas are typed, so a malformed argument comes back as a readable error instead of a silent failure. Beyond tools, the server exposes read-only resources for pipelines, custom fields and users, plus a few guided prompts for routine operations.
Node.js 18 or newer has to be on the machine, and you supply an API token from the Pipedrive settings as PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN together with the company domain in PIPEDRIVE_COMPANY_DOMAIN. No token means no access. Turn read-only mode on before the first run against a live account, because an agent with write tools can touch real deals while you are still checking that it reads the right data.
What it helps with
- list deals sitting at one pipeline stage
- create a contact and attach it to a company
- find overdue tasks linked to deals
- pull the custom fields defined for deals
- convert a lead into a deal and fill the card
Example prompts for the agent
- List every deal in the Sales pipeline that has been in negotiation for more than a week
- Create a contact for this new client and attach it to their organization
- Which activities on this deal are overdue, and who owns them?

Questions about mcp-pipedrive
How do I install mcp-pipedrive in Claude Code?
Run `claude mcp add mcp-pipedrive -e PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN=<PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN> -e PIPEDRIVE_COMPANY_DOMAIN=<PIPEDRIVE_COMPANY_DOMAIN> -- npx -y @nubiia/mcp-pipedrive` with your own token and company domain.
What does mcp-pipedrive do?
It hands the agent tools for Pipedrive: reading and changing deals, contacts, organizations, projects, pipelines, leads and activities from inside the chat.
Can I keep the agent from writing to Pipedrive?
Yes. Setting PIPEDRIVE_READ_ONLY enables a safety mode that rejects all write operations.
