mcp-cobre — Claude Code MCP server: payments, setup
Connects Cobre to an AI coding client for balances, counterparties, and outbound money movements across Colombia and Mexico.
claude mcp add --env COBRE_USER_ID=<COBRE_USER_ID> --env COBRE_SECRET=<COBRE_SECRET> --env COBRE_BASE_URL=<COBRE_BASE_URL> --transport stdio cobre -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-cobreWhat mcp-cobre does
mcp-cobre gives an agent access to Cobre treasury operations. It can read account balances, register and inspect payout counterparties, create outbound movements, and check their status. Transfers use Colombia’s instant rails or Mexico’s SPEI system.
The server provides eight tools covering balances, counterparties, and money movements. Authentication uses OAuth2 client credentials; the access token is cached and refreshed before it expires. Without COBRE_USER_ID and COBRE_SECRET, authentication cannot complete. Set COBRE_BASE_URL when the API host needs to be overridden.
What it helps with
- read balances for visible accounts
- register a payout beneficiary
- inspect a counterparty by ID
- create an outbound money movement
- check a transfer status
Example prompts for the agent
- Show the balances for every visible Cobre account.
- Register a payout counterparty for a Colombian bank account.
- Create an outbound movement and check its status.
