mcp-circle — Circle MCP server for Claude Code: features and setup
Give an agent Circle tools for USDC payments, wallets, payouts and transfers. A Circle API key is required.
claude mcp add mcp-circle -e CIRCLE_API_KEY=<CIRCLE_API_KEY> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-circleWhat mcp-circle does
mcp-circle connects an agent to Circle over MCP. Its tools can create and inspect business wallets, payments, payouts and transfers; they also cover balances, transactions, settlements and chargebacks. The server provides 23 tools.
Set CIRCLE_API_KEY to authenticate. Circle’s sandbox runs at api-sandbox.circle.com, and testing requires a sandbox API key. Without the key, the server cannot make Circle API requests. For Claude Code, use either of the setup commands below.
What it helps with
- create a Circle business wallet
- look up a payment or payout by ID
- send USDC between Circle wallets or to a blockchain address
- check a business-account balance
- list transactions or transfers with filters
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a Circle business wallet and show me its details.
- Look up the Circle payout with ID
...and report its status. - List Circle transactions matching these filters.
