mcp-clip — Claude Code MCP server: Clip payments and links
An MCP server for taking payments through Clip (PayClip) in Mexico. Agents get hosted payment links, card-token charges, refunds and payment lookups, priced in MXN.
claude mcp add --env CLIP_AUTH_TOKEN=<CLIP_AUTH_TOKEN> --env CLIP_BASE_URL=<CLIP_BASE_URL> --transport stdio clip -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-clipWhat mcp-clip does
Six tools come with it. create_payment_link produces a hosted checkout page and get_payment_link reports on it. create_payment charges a card token issued by Clip's client-side SDK; get_payment and list_payments return payment details and a paged list. refund_payment covers full or partial money-back. The server never takes a raw card number, so without a tokenisation front-end the payment link is the path you have. Get the Basic token from the Clip developer dashboard and pass it as CLIP_AUTH_TOKEN; the token alone decides whether calls hit test mode, no separate sandbox URL exists.
What it helps with
- send a customer a payable checkout link in MXN
- charge a card through a token without handling the number
- check whether a payment link was paid
- page through past payments
- refund a payment in full or in part
Example prompts for the agent
- Make a 450.00 MXN payment link for the consulting gig and send it to the client.
- What is the status of this morning's payment link?
- Issue a partial refund on the latest payment.
