MarkuprPlus — Claude Code MCP server: screen capture for agents
Records your screen and voice, then hands back one annotated frame per mark. Useful when your agent needs to see the bug instead of reading about it.
claude mcp add markuprplus -- npx -y markuprplusWhat MarkuprPlus does
MarkuprPlus ships as a desktop app for Windows and macOS, a CLI, and an MCP server. In MCP mode it gives a coding agent screen capture tools: take a screenshot, record a session, receive a structured report. Every mark you draw becomes its own finding with its own frame.
The flow: pick a window, narrate what is wrong, circle the problem on the live screen while you keep clicking. Audio and video are captured together, transcription runs on-device with Whisper, and your words get aligned to each mark. Stop recording and you have a report ready to paste into the agent.
The server starts through npx, so Node.js has to be present. Capture stays locked to the window you chose — if that window's identity or geometry turns ambiguous mid-session, recording stops instead of widening to whatever sits behind it. Worth knowing if you switch windows while narrating.
What it helps with
- show an agent a UI bug without writing a long description
- get a separate screenshot for each issue you find
- record screen and voice and transcribe them locally
- turn a recorded session into a report for the agent
- wire screen capture into an agent over MCP
Example prompts for the agent
- Take a screenshot of the active window and describe what is wrong
- Record a screen session and return a report for each mark
- Grab a frame of this window and attach it to the bug report
