Luxembourg MCP — Claude Code MCP server: 44 open-data tools
An MCP server that hands your agent Luxembourg's laws, statistics, transport and environment data with no API keys. Useful if you work with the Grand Duchy.
claude mcp add --transport http luxembourg-mcp https://mcp.luxembourg-mcp.com/mcpWhat Luxembourg MCP does
Luxembourg MCP wraps scattered public APIs and open datasets into 44 tools an agent can call directly. The set covers Legilux legislation, STATEC LUSTAT statistics, CFL and city parking, CITA traffic, air quality, parliamentary questions and plenary votes, housing prices, Chargy charging points, power prices, waste-collection dates, on-duty pharmacies, public tenders and a Luxembourgish dictionary. Every result carries its source URL, and nothing is scraped.
Two ways in. The hosted endpoint https://mcp.luxembourg-mcp.com/mcp speaks Streamable HTTP and needs no install. To run it locally, use uvx luxembourg-mcp, or build from source: Python 3.11 or newer, then pip install -e . and luxembourg-mcp --transport http --port 8000. The tool catalogue sits at http://127.0.0.1:8000/, the MCP endpoint at http://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp.
A /status page reports whether each official upstream is reachable. One failed check marks it degraded, two in a row mark it down. Checks run at most every 10 minutes and read only the first few kilobytes. When an upstream is down, the tool errors out — check the status page, not the server.
What it helps with
- check which weather warnings are active in Luxembourg
- find a consolidated law text in Legilux
- see free spaces at CFL and city car parks
- pull unemployment figures for a single commune
- locate the on-duty pharmacy with address and phone
Example prompts for the agent
- Which weather warnings are active in Luxembourg right now?
- Find the consolidated labour law text in Legilux
- How many free spaces are there at the CFL Park and Ride facilities?
