lixversion-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: agent asset versioning
A paid remote MCP server for Lix that returns verdicts, receipts and usage logs as audit-ready JSON.
claude mcp add --transport http lixversion-mcp https://lixversion.clauxel.com/mcpWhat lixversion-mcp does
lixversion-mcp is a hosted, paid MCP server for Lix. It gives AI agents version control over product assets, and it speaks Streamable HTTP: tool calls go out, JSON comes back with verdicts, receipts and usage logs.
Four tools ship with it: create_agent_change_set, compare_lix_versions, approve_lix_merge and export_version_receipt. The endpoint lives at https://lixversion.clauxel.com/mcp, and a public server card sits at https://lixversion.clauxel.com/server-card.json. The repository holds documentation and directory-submission material only; production code is not in it.
Production calls need a bearer token issued on the product site, so pick a plan and request the token before wiring anything up. Then point an MCP client that handles remote Streamable HTTP servers at the endpoint. An unauthenticated browser hit on /mcp answers with a JSON error rather than internal details.
What it helps with
- record an agent asset change as its own change set
- diff two Lix versions before a merge
- approve a merge with an explicit step
- export a version receipt for an audit
- keep a usage log of agent tool calls
Example prompts for the agent
- Create an agent change set for the new asset with
create_agent_change_set - Compare the current and previous Lix versions and list what changed
- Export the version receipt as JSON for the report

Questions about lixversion-mcp
How do I install lixversion-mcp in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http lixversion-mcp https://lixversion.clauxel.com/mcp. Then supply the bearer token you got from the product site.
What does lixversion-mcp do?
It handles version control for product assets on the agent side: building change sets, comparing Lix versions, approving merges and exporting version receipts as JSON.
Do I need a token to use it?
Yes. This is a paid hosted server, and production calls require a bearer token issued on the product site; requests without one will not go through.
