What linkly does

The MCP server lets an agent manage Linkly short links: create, edit, remove, or find them by name, URL, or note. It can also retrieve click statistics, export click records, and manage custom domains and webhooks.

The connection uses the hosted endpoint at https://mcp.linklyhq.com. Sign in to Linkly in the browser that opens during setup. This route needs neither a local install nor an API key. The older npm-based, self-hosted option is no longer maintained, so its API-key setup is not the route to use.

What it helps with

  • create a short link from a URL
  • find a link by its name or note
  • inspect click trends for a link
  • export detailed click records
  • set up a webhook for click events

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a short Linkly link for this URL and label it “release”.
  • Find the link with the note “summer campaign” and show its click stats.
  • Export recent click records and list the custom domains.
