jules-dispatch — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Send coding tasks to Google Jules in parallel, track sessions, and gather resulting PR links. Useful when a change can be split into independent pieces.
claude mcp add --env JULES_API_KEY=<JULES_API_KEY> --env JULES_DEFAULT_SOURCE=<JULES_DEFAULT_SOURCE> --env JULES_DEFAULT_BRANCH=<JULES_DEFAULT_BRANCH> --transport stdio jules-dispatch -- npx -y @yuuqq/jules-dispatchWhat jules-dispatch does
jules-dispatch connects Google Jules to Claude Code through MCP. An assistant can launch work, check session progress, approve plans, and collect PR links. The server also supports Codex and the other listed platforms.
Tasks can be stored in YAML files with a title, repository, branch, and prompt. Dispatch can create up to 50 sessions concurrently, with an optional delay between launches. LLM-based task planning needs a configured key; the core dispatch commands work without one.
Claude Code setup requires JULES_API_KEY; JULES_DEFAULT_SOURCE and JULES_DEFAULT_BRANCH are available as additional environment settings. Parallel runs suit independent work. Tasks that touch the same files or rely on earlier results should go out in separate waves.
What it helps with
- dispatch independent coding tasks to Google Jules
- collect PR links after a batch finishes
- check session status and approve plans
- cancel a session that is running out of control
Example prompts for the agent
- Send the tasks in
tasks/add-teststo Google Jules and collect the resulting PR links. - Check the active sessions and show which ones need plan approval.
- Split this migration into independent tasks, prepare a plan, and wait for my approval before dispatching.
