ios-agent-skill — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Give a coding agent Apple references and simulator tools to build SwiftUI apps or review Swift in an existing iOS project.
claude mcp add ios-agent-skill -- npx -y ios-agent-mcpWhat ios-agent-skill does
The server connects an agent to local Apple documentation, Swift review support, and iOS Simulator tools. For a new app, /ios-build plans the project, writes SwiftUI code and an Xcode project, then builds and launches it in the simulator.
On a Mac, Claude Code needs Xcode 16 or later for this workflow. XcodeGen is optional; without it, the agent creates the Xcode project itself. Some capabilities depend on service accounts and keys. Until keys are configured, generated placeholders let the app build while it displays a configuration message. Device builds and publishing require Apple Developer Program membership.
What it helps with
- scaffold an iOS app from a description
- write SwiftUI code and an Xcode project
- build and launch an app in the simulator
- review Swift in an existing project
Example prompts for the agent
- Build a habit tracker with a list screen and settings using
/ios-build - Create a searchable notes app and run it in the simulator with
/ios-build - Review the Swift code in my iOS project
