google-flights — Claude Code MCP server for flight search
Search flights, compare fares across travel dates, and look up airport codes. Useful when an agent needs to find a route or compare departure days.
claude mcp add google-flights -- npx -y google-flights-mcp-serverWhat google-flights does
This server gives an agent access to Google Flights searches. Queries can filter by cabin class and stops, then sort or paginate the results. A separate date grid compares fares across travel days, while the airport lookup accepts a city or airport name and partial codes.
No API key is needed. Claude Code can launch the server through npx after you add the MCP command. The server also limits request frequency, so repeated searches are subject to that cap.
What it helps with
- find flights between two airports
- filter results by cabin class and number of stops
- compare fares across possible travel dates
- look up an airport code from its name
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the cheapest nonstop flights from SFO to LAX for next Friday.
- Compare fares from JFK to London across the days in March.
- Look up the airport codes for Tokyo.
