What Gondola Award Travel Search does

The server connects over Streamable HTTP and runs against your Gondola account. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no API key to copy and the account costs nothing. Your client opens the Gondola page the first time it connects.

It ships 36 tools: hotel, flight, car and event search, live cash and points rates for the same stay, cents-per-point value, price prediction, per-supplier availability checks, and suggestions for spending the balances you already hold. Hotel and car rates come with a checkout link; flights are search-only and cannot be booked through Gondola yet.

The Claude plugin also installs the slash commands /hotel-points, /award-flights, /worth-it and /optimize-points. Wiring the server up by hand means getting each client's config key right: Windsurf wants serverUrl, Gemini CLI wants httpUrl, and VS Code puts everything under a top-level servers. Mix those up and the connection fails.

What it helps with

  • compare cash and points rates for one hotel stay
  • work out whether a points redemption is worth it
  • find a business-class flight on a given route and date
  • check whether a hotel rate is likely to drop
  • see which loyalty balances expire soon

Example prompts for the agent

  • Is it worth spending Bonvoy points on the Ritz-Carlton Maui for four nights in March?
  • Find business-class flights from SFO to HND on 2026-11-10
